Warner Robins GACity of Warner Robins in Georgia was founded in September 1, 1942. Warner Robins was named after Brigadier General Augustine Warner Robins during World War II. Before that the the city of Warner Robins was named York and was named Wellston later. This city was no more than a mere train station, where the trains stopped for local farmers.
